I believe that this proposal should be rejected, as it is an inappropriate development for this location.
My principal objections are:
The site is too close to residential and office properties which would suffer from noise, the danger of ignition of stored gases and smell.
The prevailing wind would mean that smells created at the site will be carried to Haverhill and Withersfield.
The site is at the entrance to both Haverhill and Suffolk. Positioning an industrial site which will be visible from the A1307 as this point will be detrimental to the town and the wider area.
The site is next to Spring Grove Brook which is known to regularly flood. The risk of effluent from the site polluting the Stour makes this an inappropriate location.
The positioning of the digestate lagoons by Cadges Wood and the pipeline running next to the Stour Brook both increase pollution risk.
An increase in agricultural and industrial traffic on local roads will make travel more difficult and may increase the risk of accidents.
