As a Haverhill resident for all of my life i strongly object to this proposed Anaerobic Digester ref SCC/0045/23SE. It contravenes all of the Local Plan developments laid down by the council and also the Haverhill vision document. in no way will this reduce the carbon footprint if lorries running on polluting Diesel will have to travel to Milton Keynes to the deliver the end product. Also the area is prone to flooding regularly and the standing water running off the rotting products will undoubtedly seep into the ground and pollute the nearby Stour Brook. The increase in traffic will also endanger lives. Please reject this application.
