I strongly object to this application. I live very close to the site and will be adversely affected by the plant if it were to be built. It is in a completely inappropriate location, contravenes the statutory Local Plan, will cause significant nuisance to me and my neighbours through: noise, odours, increased and excessive traffic - both on our country lanes and on farm tracks which go past the boundaries of our house and grounds. It will be an eyesore interrupting current historic views across the countryside from our heritage listed home. The biodigestor is of such a scale that it will be visually intrusive from all aspects. It will destroy valuable agricultural land and increase the risk of flooding along the Stour Brook with a risk of toxic run-off from the site into the brook and along the watercourse through Meldham Wash. The risk of harm to the environment and to flora and fauna has n to been adequately assessed. In summary, the harms that this would cause far outweigh any claimed benefits.
