I wish to strongly object to the proposed biogas plant due to the following reasons - It will have a detrimental affect on property prices in and around the area in which I live, Traffic will be increased, on a road which is already on a high casualty route. The gateway to Haverhill will be highly effected. I often travel on the A505 passing the Anaerobic Digestion plant and have first hand experience of the disgusting smells that are omitted from that building. I do not want to wake up on a daily basis to the same disgusting smell, and end up having to keep my windows closed. I have a dog that I walk regularly around the West Town Park, it is an area of beauty and has a lot of wild life in and around that area, this will all disappear if the plant gets the go ahead. My family and myself like to go to the local public houses in Withersfield - the Flying Shuttle and the White Horse, both of these will be affected by the smell, especially i the summer months when we like to eat out doors. The area is a category 3 flood risk, by replacing a natural landscape with hardstanding concrete will have a detrimental effect to this area. I have grand children that attend the nursery nearby, the smell will cause them to not being able to play outside and learn all about the wildlife about them. I am concerned that by building this site so close to the town where I live will have a massive impact. I understand that it will bring jobs to the town however it will not compensate the impact that it will have on the local residents and Haverhills economy. . I wish to object to this proposal as with the site being open and operating 24 hours a day there will be a massive increase in noise pollution to the local area, including overnight too. I have also heard that there was an explosion at the Oxford Plant, which indicates that this could happen at the one earmarked for this area too. Gary Swallow Haverhill
