I wish to object in the strongest possible terms to these plans. The proposed plans will have detrimental visual impact to the western gateway to Haverhill and the surrounding area. The existing digester plant at Baldock can be smelt for miles around, despite being further from the A505 than this development is from the A1307. The increased transport in and out of the site will have a severe impact on highway damage and congestion, particularly during peak periods. The existence of a plant which is processing rotten food will inevitably lead to an increase in the local vermin population, something which the plans do not seem to acknowledge or offer mitigation for.
