I live within walking distance of the proposed site. I have never objected to any planning application before but feel I must make my views known on this one.
Haverhill is an ever expanding town with thousands of new houses been built, which has brought with it excessive traffic on the A1307, a high risk route. This development is going to make this road even more dangerous and busy.
This type of development is not suitable for a site so close to housing and the Epi Centre. More houses I believe are about to be built in the same area, who will want to buy these with a potential smelly health hazard on their door step.
The Epi Centre is a place to be proud of in this town, it has attracted some good businesses and the little cafe is a good meeting point for locals for lunch. This development risks Haverhill losing one of its assets before it has reached its 10th birthday.
If agricultural land is to be used for such a plant then surely there must be better sites well away from towns and villages that are much more suitable than this one.
