I strongly object to the application submitted by Acorn Bioenergy for an anaerobic digestion plant at Spring Grove Farm near Withersfield and Haverhill. This proposal poses significant risks and negative impacts on our community and the surrounding areas. The potential for foul odours emanating from the plant would make it extremely challenging for residents to enjoy their gardens and outdoor spaces, affecting our quality of life. Furthermore, the establishment of such a facility could lead to a decline in property values, discouraging potential homeowners and causing economic harm to our community. This, in turn, may drive businesses away from the area, resulting in potential job losses and further economic instability. We must prioritize the well-being and prosperity of our community, and this application threatens both our livelihoods and our environment. I urge the Suffolk Planning Office to reject this proposal to protect the interests and quality of life of the residents in this area.
