I cannot believe that what is essentially an industrial installation will be permitted so close to a residential area. In my experience biodigestors are inevitably very smelly operations, despite the operators best intentions. To allow so many homes to be affected by the often appalling smell would be a travesty of planning . I assume the planners making this decision will have visited other similar sites so that they are aware of just how unpleasant the smell can be.
