I wish to object to this planning application as the chosen site will be detrimental to the people and reputation of Haverhill. My concerns lie not just with the possible odour emissions but also with appearance of the development and impression it will have on people coming into Haverhill. The roundabout at the epicentre is the gateway to Haverhill, and is already the subject of derision due to the sculpture on it, which is often referred to as the giant waste paper bin. The people of Haverhill are often considered the poor neighbours of Cambridge and Bury St Edmunds and are keen to shake this image. The last thing we need is a large waste processing plant as a welcome to our town. Good idea , wrong location
