I object to this submitted application by acorn for the new biogas waste site that will be a couple hundred meters from my property on the haverhill arboretum research park if it goes ahead. I don't understand how it has been deemed acceptable to place a site next to what is a large town where not only myself but thousands of people will by affected. This cannot be the best location and only potential option available for this site. The site that has been selected is prone to flooding, which is another environmental concern giving that will most likely result in site waste running into the local streams that are carried through haverhill town centre. These streams Go through nature reserve across from the flying shuttle too meaning protected lands will likely deteriorate through contamination. Biogas sites stink. No matter how any politician tries to sugar coat it they bring serious environmental concerns and odour that no one would want near them. This is my biggest concern that air quality is going to be heavily affected, and that I will breathing in this air caused by the idiots who approve the planning permission for this to go ahead. Would they accept this being built near there homes with the health and environmental issues it will cause? I think not. So why should it be approved to be built by mine? There is also a nursery barely 200m from this next to the flying shuttle. The new Epi business centre next to the proposed site is meant to attract new businesses, they aren't going to want to come here to set up and help the town grow once they see and smell this thing next door. The energy being generated won't even benefit the local area, the local area will barely benefit from this as a whole despite acorns claims. The negative impact of where this is and the problems it will cause greatly outweigh the small benefits acorn claims it's going to bring. To sum up the above this is to register my serious concerns about the proposal to develop a Biogas plant at Spring Grove Farm. This development will have a negative impact on my health and well being/ This will adversely impact on our environment, particularly in relation to noise, smell, traffic, and on a site prone to flooding. Regards, Liam Barrie
