Air quality will deteriorate and the proposed additional road traffic will add to the demise. The A1307 is already choked with HGVs and the traffic jams that will ensue could cause gridlock and serious accidents as the site is close to a roundabout, with no safe passing places. There is so much land between Haverhill and the A11 owned by the Vestey Estate, where this proposal would not impact upon residents and businesses. The recent lightening strike on a similar processor near Oxford demonstrates the potential dangers residents could be faced with.
