We strongly object to this facility. We have just moved our young family to the village because of its beautiful, peaceful location. Our property is within the conservation area and we feel that the facility will have an extremely negative impact on the environment and to the local roads. The roads are already in a poor condition and this would be exacerbated by heavy machinery travelling through. We are familiar with a similar facility located near Baldock which creates a terrible smell that travels for miles. It would be horrendous for such a facility to cause these vile odors so close to residential areas in both Withersfield and Haverhill. Haverhill is a popular commuter town to Cambridge but if this facility were built it would be a real deterrent to encouraging positive developments, and we would even consider moving away from the area because of it.
