Dear Sir,
I wish to object in the strongest possible terms to the proposal to build on of the countries biggest anaerobic digester plants in a prominent location at the entrance to Haverhill and so close to the villages of Withersfield, Hanchett End and of course Haverhill itself. If this proposal goes ahead it will absolutely ruin the local communities with the smell, the increased transport activities to and from the site not to mention the visual impact as you enter Haverhill from Cambridge. Haverhill was supposed to be promoting science and enterprise not the commercial production of gas and fertilizer, with the associated risk of water pollution as the site has flooded in the recent past and the risk of explosion so close to other buildings and housing. This is totally the wrong location for such a site which should be built well away from any other developments.
