My concern with this application is the additional traffic on the A1307, particularly given the point the hgv's will be entering the road. I have, on more than one occasion, had a hgv pull out in front of me at short notice from the very road that they're proposing the traffic from this plant will enter the A1307.
The A1307 is already a heavily congested road, overly congested at peak periods, and has seen many fatal collisions over the years, hence the improvement works currently underway at Linton, including the construction of a roundabout. Without vast improvements to road where these two roads join, I fear there will be an increase of accidents there if this plant were to be built. The current junction is not suitable for added traffic.
