Dear Sirs I am writing to strongly oppose this application for the following reasons: 1) Location - only 600 meters from the EpiCentre (a recently built facility with the purpose of attracting new businesses to Haverhill. Also only 650 meters away from a children's nursery and pub. 150 houses are currently under construction just near the EpiCentre! Given the recent explosion in Oxford surely if such an event were to happen on the proposed site it would be catastrophic. There is also no real evidence of alternative sites having been considered - why is this?? 2) Traffic - there will be a substantial increase in the number of lorry and tractor movements - using an already busy A1307 and narrow lanes in surrounding villages - there is no substantial Traffic Plan to accompany the application, the impact on our roads in regards of condition and safety will be huge. 3) Material for the bio digester - there are no chicken or animal farms in the vicinity so all will be transported in. Good arable land will be used to grow maize - rather than wheat etc for human consumption. 4) Environmental impact - access to green space. The Stour Book is highlighted in the Haverhill Vision document - as a green corridor - we cannot afford to lose this!! I am totally opposed to this proposal as it is ill planned, there is no local benefit, the only beneficiaries will be the Thurlow Estate and oversees foreign investors! Thank you
