There is still the fundamental issue that the site is in a flood zone 3 category and due to the 25 tonnes of Propane in addition to the biomethan storage, it will require Hazardous Substance Consent. This moves the site into a highly vulnerable classification which is not permitted in a flood zone 3. This has beenburied in the paperwork so that Acorn hope that this is not noticed.
This is a technique frequently used by Acorn and is equivalent to avoiding the environmental protection laws.
Acorn also do not seem to know what they are doing: one description for the CHP units states that the 2MWe unit will be fuelled by natural gas, while the smaller unit (0.9 MWe) is fed from biogas.
This means that the operation will be creating over twice as much greenhouse gas compared to the gas it is producing.
