Regarding this planning application for a proposed anaerobic bio digester , i wish it to be known that i strongly object to this proposal based upon the points described in the attached letter and the following comments.
I was born and raised in Haverhill all of my life and unfortunately from outsiders, Haverhill has always had a bad (and in my opinion, unjustified) reputation "Haverhole" being a frequently used term that i hate to hear. Just as we seem to be improving this, our treelined and countryside Gateway into the town from the busiest direction (Cambs), could now be blighted by a monstrous Industrial manure factory which would be totally visible to passing visitors. Further adding fuel to our already poor reputation. As one of the closest residents (I live 600m away from this proposed site) and having already tried to sell my house recently and forced to take it off the market, i have no doubt that this proposal has jeopardised any potential sale and will indeed have an impact on the price. . I do not want to hear the inevitable noise of vehicles reversing and moving in this nearby plant during the day and night, nor do i want to sit in my garden and smell the foul stench that this plant will create. As a keen cyclist i also take my life in my hands when i attempt to cycle down narrow Silver Street and this is considerably worse when i try to cross and cycle on the A1307 out of Silver Street and up Skippers Lane, due to the number of HGV's and heavy traffic. This plant will significantly increase the number of vehicles and this danger to life. No more will i be able to take quiet walks around the fields and light pollution from this site will also block any stargazing opportunities. This all has a negative impact on wellbeing. I therefore strongly Object to this proposal.
