we would request a health and safety impact study to be undertaken in view of the violent explosion on 2October 2023 of 3 tanks at the Severn Trent Green Power site in Cassington Oxfordshire. witnesses and videos reported a huge fireball in the sky when the gases within ignited and exploded causing firefighters a considerable fire to contain. Given the now more extreme weather patterns this country is now experiencing the volatile properties of the gases that would be produced should such an event occur in the proximity of some 30000 + residents surely such a study would be sensible before Planners could commit to Acorns proposed application.
We object on the following 1) the proposed location due to traffic volume on and around the A1307 and the proximity to the Stour brook and the edge of West Town Park this being a flood Plain area. 2)output Whatever output is claimed what benefit would accrue to the surrounding area. vague suggestion of some employment less than would be required by a small supermarket. 3)Health Hazards due to Air Quality Asthma sufferers And those with respiratory problems will have their conditions worsened. these sites emit SMELLS please drive the A505 from Roydon to Baldock and breathe in.
4)visual impact the proximity to the Epicentre Business Park and to the housing estates on the Cambridge side of Haverhill would suggest that this Biodigester be removed to a far less congested area.
