I am opposed to this development. While I believe it is a good concept the proposed placement of the site is unacceptable. Access to site would be down narrow lanes not designed for 25+ lorries per day. This will increase air pollution from their engines in the local area. Roads in and around Haverhill are already in a state of disrepair, the additional traffic will only increase the wear and tear on already damaged roads. The proposed site is far to close to residential areas, any associated processing smells will hugely impact on quality of life for residents making gardens and open spaces unpleasant and unusable. Which in turn will push house prices down. There will be very limited benefit in terms of workforce needed on site so it will not bring employment to the town. I have concerns over waste leakage into surrounding fields and waterways that may cause contamination and threat to wildlife. Haverhill is a rapidly growing town this plot could be better used to implement some much needed infrastructure in the way of doctors, dentists and shopping as the high street has very limited numbers of all three. I am very much opposed to these plans.
