B S Fellows Ltd owns the adjoining site of Sturmer End Industrial Estate. There are 6 factory units placed close to the North East border of the Widdington site. The tenants have all experienced various degrees of nuisance since the site was developed. These include fly infestation in the factories and offices, obnoxious smells particularly during the warmer summer months, noise caused by plant movements, dust covering vehicles and vibration during site landscaping operations. The planning consultant representing Widdingtons has held several productive meetings with affected tenants and the author, however the nuisances have continued. The siting of the building and it's open aspects has been poorly thought out together with poor control of substances being processed leaving it difficult to avoid the above nuisances.
