We have experienced numerous issues with as a result of the illegal development of the Widdington's site. These include: 1) Fly infestation in our factories (we have had to purchase zappers). 2) Obnoxious odours eminating from the site which has on occasion has been so bad that have left some of my staff feeling sick and have had to go home resulting in significant disruption to the business. 3) Noise and vibrations from their machinery which disrupts our ability to be able to test the electrical equipment we manufacture again resulting in significant disruption to the business. 4) Refuse particles in the air (including fine saw dust) which we are having to breathe in when outside the factory and that have resulted in difficult to remove deposits on the vehicles of our staff resulting in expensive cleaning costs for which recompense has not been forthcoming. Despite several meetings with the representative of Widdington's, these issues have continued to various degrees. As the weather warms up we expect these problems to again escalate primarily due to the putrescent material they process. The open aspect of the building and poor control of their operation makes it difficult to see how they can eliminate the above listed issues with this proposed planning application.
