We; Fir Tree Technology Ltd are currently tenants in Unit A4 and A5 Sturmer End Industrial Estate Haverhill CB9 7UU, we back onto the site as outlined in this planning application very close to the boundary. Since Widdington Recycling Ltd started their operations we have made numerous complaints to them and also Environment Health Dept. Issues include excessive noise vibration from machines when they are moving around, our offices are overcome with flies, a fowl smell which seemed to seep into every orifice of our offices, warehouse and outdoor space. We since found out this was because they had taken in organic waste when they should not have been. Excessive amounts of dust and grit particles cover our engineer vans and personal cars on a daily basis. We were told they have now installed misting spays to mitigate this, but if the winds are blowing in the wrong direction then its as if its raining outside, which just makes the dust adhere to the vehicles. The huge building structure seemed to appear suddenly overnight, looming over us, as neighbours of the site in question we had received no notices that this was being built. The bank of trees and shrubs behind our units were damaged in the building of their concrete boundary wall, they say that they have plans to plant more trees? They burst the main water main when installing their drainage and this flooded our unit and car park, also damaging a nearby house and garden. They went ahead with no oversite to any neighbouring properties, commercial or otherwise. I object to this planning application being passed as the construction that they have done and work carried out by their operations does not represent the original planning consent that was assigned to this site.
